This CD is wonderful. Her vocals are fantastic and spellbinding. She is definitely carrying on the Hathaway name.
You won't be disappointed. Because this album is released on a more independent label, the marketing money is reserved and maybe not available.
During the years, the course of her career it steered more to Jazz. I have been a Lalah Hathaway fan for years since her debut R&B album.
This album easily has more than 4 favorites and I am sure you will enjoy it too. I do have an appreciation for jazz and her collaberation with Joe Sample was great.
This CD revisits her beginning of R & B music without ignoring the jazz influences and her evolving as an artist. Definitely pick this up.
